Lessons Learned on the campaign trail

These past few months, in some sense are like all other months, full of opportunities to learn and grow.  But unlike all other months before in my lifetime, they were an opportunity to learn about our political system, and some of those who choose to make it their career choice.

I spoke at my toastmaster club two days after the election on the lessons learned on my way to the ~16% of the vote in the Democratic primary. Absentee ballots were still to be counted, so the turnout was in fact higher than stated in the video clip of the speech .  I have split the speech in two parts due to length, (the second part being the meat) and have uploaded them to YouTube for the world to learn my lessons.

We need to be careful to stand up for our rights as citizens or they will tread on us and take them away.

Politics as Usual, is NOT politics for The People.  It is no longer politics of  The People.  This is true for one key reason  The People  do not vote.  The People are silent.  The silent majority, means we no longer have representative government.  Not because we can not, but we choose to not have representative government.  We are the current problem, but we can also be the answer.  The People must be heard if they want to keep their freedom.
